WHY WE LOVE IT
LOCATION
Nxamaseri Island Lodge is located on the western side of the Okavango Delta panhandle, close to Botswana’s north-western border with Namibia. Its position in the Okavango Delta pan-handle means that the lodge enjoys the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta all year long, even when water levels in the rest of the delta are low in drought season. The lodge has been built on an exclusive, private island surrounded by a lush, green riverine forest. It is one of Botswana’s original camps, founded in the 1980’s by PJ who spent months looking for the ideal location to build his home and camp. He favoured the Nxamaseri Channel for its beauty and seclusion, hidden in the Nxamaseri waterways.
