WHY WE LOVE IT
LOCATION
Mokolwane Film Camp is located in the largest, privately owned concession on the south west of the Okavango Delta. It is the quietest concession in the Okavango with the lowest concentration of camps meaning it is extremely unlikely that you will encounter other individuals. The camp itself faces the Matsibe River and the wide open plains. The idea is for guests to experience the wild exactly the way our ancestors used to: with space, peace and tranquility.
The camp got its name from the African Date Palm trees, known in Setswana as the “Mokolwane”. These giant, towering trees silhouette the skyline and frame every sunrise and sunset. They have been standing for centuries and are really iconic in the area which is a real haven for elephants that love the palm trees standing like sentries on protective watch.
