In a world inundated with heaving populations there is an urgency to protect endangered wildlife and the land on which they reside, like never before. Eco-tourism has been the only successful model that benefits all stakeholders: the land, the wildlife and the local communities. When guests choose to travel to Botswana they help support an industry that is responsible for hundreds of thousands of jobs for locals that would otherwise have no earning prospects. Tourism also encourages the development of infrastructure on the outskirts of game parks which in turn also elevates the quality of life for the locals living in the area. If we cannot look after our people, there is no chance of being able to preserve wildlife and wilderness areas. The two must go hand in hand.

The Bestelink’s have always had the core motivation of wanting to uplift the local people and take care of the land and the wildlife that fall within their sphere of influence. It is the yeast in their bread that gets them to rise from their beds every day and make a difference.

With total transparency and accountability, every cent of every contribution goes directly towards the cause intended.
